Latest News: Prosum Foundation Co-Signs Open Letter Urging EU Economic Reforms

PROSUM FOUNDATION

April 25, 2025

The Prosum Foundation has joined forces with leading free-market think tanks across Europe in signing an open letter addressed to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. This collaborative effort underscores a collective call for urgent reforms to revitalize the European Union’s economic landscape.

The letter highlights concerns over excessive regulation, fragmented markets, and stringent ESG policies that are perceived to hinder innovation and competitiveness. It advocates for a shift towards a more dynamic, market-oriented approach, emphasizing the need to reduce bureaucratic obstacles and foster an environment conducive to growth.

We are at the crossroads and if we fail to establish a reliable, impartial, information system, independent from anti-EU political forces inside and out-side of the EU our Union will be teared apart.

Key proposals include:

Decentralizing legislative authority to empower member states.
Eliminating barriers within the single market for services and capital.
Implementing a ‘one in, two out’ principle for regulations to streamline governance.
Reevaluating ESG mandates to balance environmental goals with economic viability.

This initiative aligns with the Prosum Foundation’s mission to promote economic freedom and sustainable development. By endorsing this open letter, the Foundation reaffirms its commitment to advocating for policies that enhance prosperity and innovation across Europe.
